The Holidays are a busy and stressful time. This graphic gives you an idea about what it takes to be well. Check what pieces you may be missing this time of year. What pieces do you have in place? Make a point to take care of yourself this time of year so you can enjoy life to the fullest!!

Question of the Month

Is Santa Claus under regular chiropractic care?

A few Christmases ago, Santa wasn’t feeling up to par and was worried he would be grounded. His number one elf told him to go see his chiropractor because he was able to do so much more since starting chiropractic care. Although skeptical, Santa gave it a chance because he was miserable. It’s not much wonder jolly old St. Nick was feeling worn out. All the hurry and tension, not to mention the size of his pack, had taken its toll on his spine and nervous system. Once he started care, he felt the aches and pains slip away and his health return. He even remarked that it had been centuries since he felt that good! Now Santa sees his chiropractor regularly to stay healthy and all his stress doesn’t stand a chance. Wishing you all the best of the Holiday Season and a healthier New Year!

Health News

Adolescent Drug Use Creates Long-Term Imbalance

Drug use during adolescence, including such commonly prescribed drugs as Ritalin, may upset brain chemistry more than any other time in a person's life, new research says. To read more, click on the link below:

This information indicates that adolescent brains are sensitive to drug use and it causes permanent changes. Bottom line, as a result of this, adolescents depend on drugs to stimulate their reward mechanism in their brains, leading to addictive behaviors. It is time we said “No To Drugs”, including prescription ones, as the first choice to change the way youth behave. We are creating our own problems here.

Exercise Keeps Disabilities on the Run

Regular aerobic exercise may keep you healthy well into your golden years say researchers from Stanford University. They found that people over 50 who belonged to a running club were more than three times less likely to die during the 13-year study period and they were able to postpone disability by almost nine years on average. To read more, view the entire article at:

This study is not profound but should give you further reason to stay active throughout your life. It is surprising how much of a difference it made in their quality of life. You don’t have to be a runner, just get out there and be active in something you enjoy. Any aerobic exercise will do. The study also found that these people had better health habits and were not lifelong runners. It’s never too late to start building a healthier you!
