Chiropractic Care and Upper Back Pain

A 49 year old male came to our office with upper back pain that radiated into his chest. He also mentioned he had chronic sciatica in both legs that would come on in episodes and that those episodes were lasting longer. His also suffered from headaches. The pain in his upper back was waking him up at night and he was becoming exhausted and fatigued from the lack of sleep. He was also unable to exercise because he was afraid to attempt something that may aggravate his back. This lack of activity was decreasing his overall health as well.

After experiencing a series of chiropractic adjustments and continued care, he was able to sleep through the night without the pain of his upper back waking him up. The sciatica episodes have decreased in severity and length due to the chiropractic care and the use of a supportive belt. His headaches are gone with the improvement of his upper back pain. He reported that he has increased energy levels, able to shovel the walk, work in the garage and even lay on a concrete floor without any problems. His enjoyment of life is back on track since being under regular chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Care and Hip Pain

A 58 year old male came to our office with right hip pain that traveled into his groin and knee. He had been diagnosed with arthritis in his hip two years ago but had been suffering with the pain for four years. He walked approximately 10 miles a day with his occupation and his hip pain was affecting how he walked so much that his knees were bothering him as well. The hip pain would wake him up at night when he rolled over and was affecting his quality of life.

After starting chiropractic care, he noticed and was told that his gait (the way he walked) was improving. He experienced less pain and could sleep comfortably at night. The flexibility in his right hip improved and he wasn’t going home every night in pain from is job. His knees bothered him less as well. He can perform his job and enjoy life more now that he is under regular chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Care and Recurrent Viral Pericarditis

A 43 year old male came to our office with chest pain and pressure. He had been diagnosed with viral pericarditis about one year before he started chiropractic care. He had two other bouts of pericarditis since his original diagnosis, which caused him to be placed on long term disability from his work. His quality of life and sleep were also affected. He was unable to exercise or do things around the house as he wanted to do. He stated that he did not want to become a “cardiac cripple”.

After a series of chiropractic adjustments and a reduction in his chest pain and pressure, he was able to return gradually to full time employment. He was also able to enjoy exercising and being active again. His quality of life returned.
