Dr. Stacy Larsen
My name is Dr. Stacy Larsen.
I grew up at Caroline, Alberta, a very small town about 1 hour
west of Red Deer. I went to
Red Deer College and then to a small college in Iowa for another year of
my undergraduate work. From
there I went to Chiropractic
College in Davenport, Iowa. I graduated in 1993 and while I was
there, I was lucky enough to meet my wife.
I became a chiropractor for a couple of
reasons. I first considered
it as a career choice because of the chiropractors I had seen
intermittently growing up. They all seemed to really enjoy their work. The second reason I became a chiropractor was that I had a
“chiropractic miracle” happen when I got under regular care when I
was at Red Deer College.
As a teenager, I had a sinus condition where my nose would run
every morning. I could take
antihistamines and be fogged out for half the day or spend it blowing my
nose every 5 minutes. After
about a month of regular chiropractic care, my sinuses got better!
I got my life back! At that point, I realized that there was more
to chiropractic care than headaches and backaches and I was inspired to
continue on my career path. The
rest, as they say, is history.
My practice life started here in
Red Deer in 1994 at Peak Chiropractic Centre.
In July 1999, I opened Larsen
Family Chiropractic and have been in this location ever since. When
I’m not at the office, I hang out with my family.
My wife, Lauren, and I have 3 beautiful boys, ages 8, 4 and 3.
I am a fledgling triathlete, touch football player, Beaver leader
and Piper Creek Optimist.
I work with the Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team, adjusting cowboys
and cowgirls at events such as the Innisfail Rodeo and the Ponoka
and Calgary Stampedes.
I also work with the Red Deer Renegades Women’s Major League
Soccer team, keeping them performing at their best.
I
hope your enjoy your experience with us and I look forward to serving
you.
